the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
The Murphy Cats Laugh Festiva,featuring the world's best comedian
takes place in Kilkenny over the June Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Kilkenny Arts Festival is an annual international arts
festival. Kilkenny Arts Festival takes place over 10 days
in August and plays host to some of the world's leading artists
and performers in a range of art forms.
KIilkenny is a sporting Paradise, rich in history and tradition.
Golf is played with passion in and there are excellent golf
courses nearby offering a stiff challenge to the golfer.
Fanad House is adjacent to Kilkenny Tennis Club.
Other recreational facilities include; Equestrian centre,
fishing and putting course.
Gowran is one of the top racecourses in the South-East.The
course layout is a right handed oval of 1.5 mls (Chase) and
1m 3 furlongs (Flat) with a run in of 3 furlongs and uphill
finish.Features of the racing calendar include the Thyesetes
Chase and the October meeting, attracting large numbers. |
